Like so many kids from tiny farm towns, we thought we needed to leave to find ourselves.

Eventually going our separate ways, we spent some years pursuing our creative ambitions in bigger cities, bouncin' around different corners of the country.

Only to realize that we're most happy in the kinds of places we came from...

So, in a dusty corner of the Mojave Desert, Westech was born. And for a couple of country kids who are usually only comfortable in their boots, The Outrider made sense.

I’ve always loved cowboy boots, what they stand for, how they’re built, and the way they make you feel when you pull them on.

But boots aren’t made for every hour of the day. Eventually, they come off. And when they do, I wanted something that still felt connected to that world, something comfortable enough to live in, but with a little more character than the usual slip-on.

That was the idea behind the Outrider: start with the timeless design of a cowboy boot, rethink it for everyday comfort, and make it Dang Comfy!

Westech is still just getting started. We’re a small company with big ideas, laying the foundation one pair at a time.
